Welcome to the site dedicated to MY Basenji dogs. It is the culmination of my interest in producing some of the best purebred dogs available. An uncommon breed, Basenji dogs are believed to originate from ancient Egypt and brought to the U.S. by way of Africa. Their unique look is transcended only by their unusual characteristic of not barking, and their  apparent lack of dog odor. Perhaps it is a result of their habit of cleaning themselves like a cat.

Basenjis are a small-medium size short hair dog, varying in color from red and white, black and white to tricolor and brindle. Although they don't bark, they do produce all the other dogs sounds from a whimper to a growl. Basenji dogs have a distinct appearance. They possess an elegant "deer-like" physique, wrinkled forehead, erect ears and short curled tail.

The Basenji breed can make for a great pet and/or excellent hunting companion. They are energetic, curious and smart. Although independent and seemingly aloof, they are very affectionate and become quite bonded with their owner. Basenjis  prove to be a benefit to many with allergies because of their minimal shedding and lack of oil glands.

Naturally, I breed my best Basenji dogs and periodically offer puppies to qualified parties. At most, it is once a year. If you're interested in becoming an owner of one these special breed of dogs, please fill out the form on the "upcoming litters" page and I will contact you as soon as possible. A visit to my estate is encouraged so you can interact and find out more about this exceptional animal. I look forward to hearing from you.
